Your Data Stays Yours

Read A Lot is designed with privacy in mind. Your books, articles, highlights, and notes are stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud to your other Apple devices. We don't have access to your reading content.

AI Features

When you use Ask AI features, your selected text is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) using your own API key. We don't proxy, store, or have access to these conversations.

What We Collect

• Email address (if you sign up for launch notifications)
• Basic app analytics (crash reports, usage patterns) - no personal content

iCloud Sync

Your library and reading data syncs through Apple's iCloud infrastructure. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy policies.
